Terms of Service

Last updated: September 16, 2026

Welcome to The Mediks. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website and your participation in our Workshops, Research Programs, and any other services we offer (together, "Services"). By using our website or registering for any Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.

1. About The Mediks

The Mediks provides medical education content, hands-on Workshops, and Research Programs delivered in collaboration with professionals and certified medical doctors.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to register.
  • You agree to provide accurate and complete information when registering or applying, and to keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for keeping your account login details confidential and for all activity under your account.
  • Some Programs have specific eligibility requirements (such as year of study or specialty). We may decline or cancel a registration that does not meet them.

3. Registration and Payment

  • A place in a Program is confirmed only after full payment (or the first installment, where installments are offered) is received.
  • Prices are shown on our website or communicated at registration and may change at any time, but changes will not affect registrations already confirmed.
  • Places are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis unless the Program requires an application.
  • Payments are subject to our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

4. Workshops

  • Participants must arrive on time and follow the instructions of instructors and staff, especially regarding safety, equipment, and hygiene.
  • Workshops are for educational purposes only. They do not grant a license to practice or qualify you to perform procedures on patients outside of proper supervision and authorization.
  • We may change the venue, schedule, or instructors when necessary, and will notify participants as early as possible.

5. Research Programs

  • Participants are expected to attend sessions, meet deadlines, and actively contribute to their assigned research work.
  • Academic integrity: plagiarism, data fabrication or falsification, and misuse of AI tools or others' work are strictly prohibited.
  • Ethics: all research must follow applicable ethical standards, including obtaining ethical approval and informed consent where required, and protecting patient confidentiality.
  • Authorship: authorship on any resulting publication is based on each participant's actual contribution, following recognized authorship guidelines (such as ICMJE criteria), and is decided by the supervising team.
  • No guaranteed outcomes: publication, conference acceptance, or specific authorship positions depend on third parties and on your work. The Mediks does not guarantee them.
  • We may remove a participant from a Research Program for misconduct, breach of these Terms, or repeated non-participation, without credits or refund.

6. Certificates

Certificates of attendance or completion are issued only to participants who meet the attendance and completion requirements of each Program. Certificates reflect participation in a Mediks educational Program and are not an accredited academic degree or professional license, unless explicitly stated otherwise.

7. Code of Conduct

When using our Services, you agree not to:

  • Harass, discriminate against, or disrespect instructors, staff, or other participants.
  • Disrupt sessions or engage in unsafe behavior.
  • Share login access or Program materials with non-registered people.
  • Record sessions without our permission.
  • Use our Services for any unlawful purpose.

We may suspend or remove anyone who breaches this Code of Conduct, without credits or refund.

8. Intellectual Property

  • All content provided by The Mediks, including slides, videos, recordings, handouts, templates, logos, and website content, is owned by The Mediks or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.
  • You may use Program materials for your personal learning only. You may not copy, sell, distribute, or publish them without our written permission.
  • You keep ownership of the original work you create during a Research Program, subject to the shared rights of your co-authors, supervisors, and any institution involved in the research.

9. Medical Disclaimer

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

12. Cancellations, Changes, and Force Majeure

We may postpone, reschedule, or cancel any Program due to our decision or due to events beyond our control, such as natural disasters, government restrictions, war, or other unforeseen events. In such cases, payments are handled according to our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
